Outdoorsy II

The next day, I went up to my sister's boyfriend's farm to take some photos up there. They have cows, and horses, barn cats, and a dog - all of which provided good subjects for me. I don't get many chances to be near big animals like that, so it was very cool. Brian's grandparents were also up visiting, and had brought a couple of their ATV's up. Originally Brian was going to take me for a ride around the property on his, but then his grandfather decided to teach me how to drive one instead. So after a few practice spins around the back field, we headed off to explore the rest of the 249 acre property ... so much fun! Vrrrrooooooooooooooom.

Ever heard the phrase "..until the cows come home"?

Outdoorsy

Yes, Saf, you're definitely right - long overdue for a fall update. So here are a few for you, and the rest of my dear readers, backdated even so you have lots to look at! :) I apologize for the lapses, thank you for the pokes to keep going.

Last weekend was very outdoorsy for me, which is not the norm. I went hiking on Saturday, and then to a farm on Sunday, both times taking my new camera along to play and learn more about how it works.

We went to Crawford Lake Conservation area in Halton, along the Niagara Escarpment. It was very pretty, little chilly, but probably good weather overall - not too hot or cold. Got some good shots, had a fun day, but realized that hiking isn't really my thing.
