Uh Oh ...
The BlogUpdatePolice are after me! Despite the warning/disclaimer seen to your right ... oh well. I tend to prefer reading other people's words/thoughts than writing down my own (I'm nosy that way), but every now and then I don't mind writing (or the kick in the pants to do so ;).
But no, not much is happening these days. Go to work, try to keep busy/stay awake, come home and relax in my lovely (sadly temporary) palace in the sky, see some friends here and there.
Went to Kingston last weekend to visit Hana, and to watch Monty Python's Holy Grail (really, that was the main purpose of the trip - in preparation for seeing 'Spamalot' in a couple of weeks). Every time I've been to Kingston in the past (3 other times), its been fall/winter, and usually very cold. This weekend was a departure, in that it was really hot & sunny! Which makes me happy, I'm not going to complain. We explored the downtown area, poked our heads in the Cathedral, visited Hana's lab, walked the waterfront, caught a few acts at a Busker's festival that was going on (The YoYo Show & The Quebec Russian Bar Trio), saw Pirates of the Caribbean. I think I need a lazy weekend to relax from all of that! So likely my companions for the weekend will be of the dvd variety, Season 1 of Lost (2 more discs to go), Bride & Prejudice, and who knows what else.
My roomate has gone home again for the weekend, I'm assuming, as she does most weekends, so I've got the place to myself. Its kind of like my first year in residence at UofT all over again, only a much bigger space. And I'm better friends with this roomate, I think, we get along really well (a lucky thing, considering we were complete strangers).
Does anyone want to do anything this weekend? I've got no plans, I'm open ... well, I'm meeting my youngest sister at the bus terminal Sunday night, as she comes in from a weekend in Ottawa, to hang out for a bit, dinner etc, then help her find the Go bus home (I'm sure she could figure it out on her own with no problem, but I'm here, and not doing anything, and we don't see each other much anyways).
I'm going to be really sad to leave this apartment ... its all going to be downhill after this, I've been very spoiled this summer! I guess its time to start looking for a place for the fall (not to mention a new job, I'm going to need that too). Anyone looking for a roomate? Or know of a nice, not too expensive bachelor/1-bedroom opening up soon? Same goes on the job front, keep your ears open, pretty please!
