Insomnia + Procrastination = We're not quite sure, but its weird
Ahhhhhh.......it is 2:38am on Saturday morning. Why why why am I still up? Cause I have a small project to finish for tomorrow, and have been spending several hours doing many other things instead. Procrastination at its finest!
Lets see....I have been battling w/ a new router that keeps losing my internet connection (horrors!), making an order on Chapters.ca, cancelling said order on Chapters.ca after noticing a boo-boo I'd made in my shipping address, and will next be re-ordering on Chapters.ca. Fun times! I have also been talking to Saf on the phone, and Katrina online.
What am I ordering online at 2:45am? (Cause I knew you were gonna ask, Saf - and really, I think that you are the only one who reads this at the moment.)
- The Amulet of Samarakand (hardcover, the good cover, thankyouverymuch)
- A Wrinkle in Time
- The Arm of the Starfish
- A Ring of Endless Light
Yep, Jonathan Stroud and a good dose of Madeleine L'Engle. I did consider ordering Whale Rider, but figured I'd wait and read it first, then see if I like it (I'm sure I will, though). Have I loaned you 'Whale Music' to read yet? It has absolutely nothing to do with Whale Rider, but is fabulous none-the-less. You can borrow it in April, hehe. Essays first! (I really should listen to myself here).

thank you for considering the crushiness of my spirit...i find it appropriate that my spirit aids in facilitating redundancies. i like doubling. mirroring. redundancy.
i don't think i've read "whale music" completely - i know my mum owns it, but i've never had a chance to read more than bits and pieces. i'm pretty sure i've started it at least twice. all that said and done, i would love to borrow it. yes...after april...**sigh**
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! i was totally wondering what books you were going to order and then YOU ANSWERED IT! o, the brilliance of my c. anyhow, if it's not too late (i.e. you've already submitted your order to chapters) i venture to suggest you wait until tuesday night, after which you will have most likely completed whale rider and can add it on to your larger order, which will allow you to forgo shipping prices. but if it's too late, i wouldn't worry, because i don't expect ordering whale rider to be very expensive, even with shipping prices.
wow this has been a long comment. that was redundant, huh.

Hi Carolyn, I found your blog through your link to mine. ::waves::
You know.... you're in Toronto, so if you bought your books at the store, you wouldn't have to go through the grief of internet disconnections. :o) Plus, you'd be supporting your local indy bookstore (and by extension giving the store enough money to give me my hours back), you'd get recommendations on other books you'd like, and if you'd come after 3 p.m. today, would have gotten nummy sandwiches and cookies, too...
Just saying... ;o)
